Women in politics around the world are breaking barriers and making significant strides towards achieving gender equality in government representation. In Burma/Myanmar and Israel, female leaders are making their mark in the political arena, challenging the status quo and advocating for change. In Burma/Myanmar, Aung San Suu Kyi has been a prominent figure in politics for decades. She is the leader of the National League for Democracy (NLD) and has served as State Counsellor of Myanmar since 2016.
